 I recently was referred to MailChimp. I have been looking for a good email marketing tool with all the cool cutting edge features. Of course I have built and integrated web based newsletter email systems in the past, but there have always been problems with getting the email in the persons inbox.The problem arises from the on-going battle between email providers and spammers. Email providers have a responsibility to filter bad or malicious emails, as well as those pesky annoying unsoliciated emails. Over the past ten years a number of email protocols have a been created to better stop spam, but there is always issues with good emails being wrongly filtered. The federal government has also legislated rules for commercial emails. The CAN-SPAM Act establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have you stop emailing them, and spells out tough penalties for violations. Read more here.
